The American Typecasting Fellowship releases an annual newsletter. You can reserve your copy of Issue #46 below.
Announcing the continuation of the American Typecasting Fellowship Newsletter
Since 1978, the ATF Newsletter has been the voice of American Metal Typecasting. The Newsletter records the yearly adventures of preservationists as they work to keep alive the ancient craft of making metal printing type. Originally published by Richard Hopkins, the newsletter has always been a happy home for experienced castors, excited novices, and enthusiastic students of typographic and industrial history.
Taking over for Rich Hopkins, the new Publishing Committee consists of Val Lucas, Fritz Swanson, and Sierra Brown. The Printing Stewards are helping with logistics.
The Newsletter is a valuable resource for both the small typecasting community, as well as the broader world of letterpress printers, book artists, and all typographic enthusiasts. We plan to publish Issue #46 later in 2024. We hope you will reserve your copy of the new issue and contribute your typecasting research, stories, advice, and questions.
